ruby-grit-ext software package provides utf-8 support extension for grit, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-grit-ext
ruby-grit-ext is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-grit-ext package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-grit-ext *
You will get with ruby-grit-ext package name, version, architecture and description in a table
